A very ornate antique floor lamp with wonderful metal flowers has been hand painted to echo the colors of the shade and holds a hand-dyed Violet and Blue Carousel beaded lampshade. The silk shade is hand-dyed from cobalt blue to violet with accent colors of cream and green. The large panels feature colorful antique silk flower appliqués in violet, blue, cream and green.
The embroidery features a profusion of flowers with roses and smaller blossoms, primarily in shades of blue, violet, green and white. The floral appliqués are arranged gracefully along flowing stems, adding to the elegant design. The small panels feature a dramatic black and gold antique metallic lace with a stylized Art Deco pattern.
This shade has been adapted from a bridge lamp to a floor lamp because the beads are so heavy!
The cascading hand-beaded fringe on this shade, in rich tones of violet, dusty purple, blue, gold and green contributes to the overall allure and drama of the lamp. An Art Nouveau style hand painted butterfly finial with antique czech glass jewel finial finishes the piece.
Overall height is 63 inches to the top of the finial.
